Today Asha went to her first big girl birthday party. Her best friend Hazel was turning 4. Asha even went shopping with Mum and brought a new party dress for the occasion. She is growing up before our very eyes. Taken with the Fujifilm X-T1
Fujifilm X-T1
Finally I get a chance to see what the hype is all about. I've been able to score a brand new Fujifilm X-T1 to play with for a week. I'm looking forward to the weekend to put it through it's paces. So far, after getting used to the the different settings and dials I've been very impressed. The images are sharp and generally beautifully exposed. The dynamic range on the camera is impressive and the build quality is fantastic. It may well be my next new purchase........ providing my other gear sells on eBay. Here are the first two photos that I have taken with the loan camera.
St Petersburg - November 2012
With my St Petersburg exhibition soon approaching I'm busily sorting through all of my images in an attempt to choose those that make the final cut. I chose this one because it highlights the stark contrast in social class St Petersburg, between the "haves and have nots".
Dockland Grunge

A winters walk with the family
Still playing with the Nikon D4s.
Black and White on the Nikon D4s
I don't normally shoot monochrome in camera but I thought that I'd give it a go on the new D4s. I'm pretty impressed. Great tonality and tack sharp. May use it a bit more often. These images of the kids were taken over breakfast this morning.
Abandoned Warehouse
With the family away for the week I dad a chance to slip out for the day and get creative. I've been meaning to photograph this place for a while now and I am still sorting through he hundreds of images that I took. Here are just a few.

Swan Bay, Victoria. March 2014
We had a great little break from our day to day routine. Three nights in my Uncles great little cabin down at Swan Bay, Victoria. The cabin is right on the edge of a wetland bird sanctuary as the photos show. Looking forward to getting there again real soon.
